Sananwan Beach is situated 7 kilometers south of Bang Saphan, a sleepy little town on the east coast of Thailand 80 kilometers north of Chumpon. The area is one of the few remaining stretches of coastline untouched by tourism with seemingly endless stretches of deserted beach and picturesque fishing villages.
About 5 kilometers offshore from Sananwan Beach is Koh Tahlu, an island famous for its idyllic scenery. There are regular boat trips to the island offering snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing.
The sea food in the area is exceptional and you can enjoy squid, prawns, crabs and fish, fresh from the sea, at very reasonable prices.
